About Calvary Mission
Calvary Mission was founded by Rev. Deva Prasanna in obedience to God’s vision. We are a dedicated group of believers who serve the Lord across denominational lines, rooted firmly in biblical principles. Our mission is to share and show God’s love through Gospel preaching and practical social outreach.
We are committed to reaching the unreached, transforming lives, and building God’s Kingdom through the following ministries:

About Pastor
Rev. Deva Prasanna is a passionate servant of God who rose from the slums and the marginalized “Untouchable” community of Kakolluvaripalli. With a God-given vision, he is committed to bringing transformation and hope to the most vulnerable— orphaned and street children, the disabled, widows, and the forgotten poor —in the very communities where he was raised.
A young theological graduate with a deep burden to serve, Rev. Deva Prasanna responded to God’s call by founding Calvary Church in 2012—with just three people and a heart full of faith. From those humble beginnings, a powerful movement began.
Today, Calvary Church in Chennai welcomes over 300 attendees every week and has grown into a network of 18 Small House Churches, each home to 75–80 new believers —many of whom have come to Christ from backgrounds of idol worship. Our ministry is supported by a dedicated team of 18 full-time workers and 27 volunteers who serve faithfully across various areas.
We are an interdenominational church, rooted in biblical principles, committed to both preaching the Gospel and demonstrating God’s love through practical acts of service and social outreach.

Our Church
1. Sunday Mornings
There is nothing quite like the feel of Sunday morning worship at Calvary Church. Our Sunday morning services are preceded by the Sunday School hour which begins at 9:00. Then at 10:00, our full choir and orchestra begin the service with a beautiful song, followed by a welcome from our pastor. All services are traditional with hymns of the faith and a Bible message.
2. Sunday Evenings
People often comment that Sunday evenings feel like family time at Calvary Church. After a wonderful day of worship and rest, we meet at 6:00 to enjoy the blessings of the Lord and spend time in the Word before facing another week of work.
3. Wednesday Nights
There is nothing better than a mid-week service to reconnect with a Bible study led by our pastor. It is a sure way to gain strength and experience steady spiritual growth. Our Wednesday evening Bible studies start at 6:30, and there is an excited anticipation as we gather together desiring the Lord to speak to our hearts.
